  1. okthink in CDMX: AI, React, and the Future of Software Development — sponsored by Expo and The React Foundation

    Mexico City, CDMX

We’re hosting our first event in Mexico City during Día de los Muertos season, which coincides with Mexico Tech Week. Join us for a bilingual evening exploring AI, React, and the future of software engineering, with talks from Keith Kurak and Jacob Clausen of Expo, Margaret Pieczkowski of okthink, and software engineer Malinali Becerril. Expo’s Samantha Wen is our MC. More speakers will be announced soon.

Past events

  1. next.app devCon

    CityCube Berlin · Berlin, Germany

Rafael spoke about giving coding agents a way to verify their own work, and we recorded interviews with Seth Webster, Michał Pierzchała, Anisha Malde, Kadi Kraman, Jay Meistrich and Perttu Lähteenlahti. We came away thinking React Native holds up as a framework choice in the age of AI.

Leveraging React Native Web And Custom CLIs: A Debugging Superpower For Coding Agents

Your coding agent can build a lot of React Native code, but verification still falls heavily on the developer. This talk shows a technique that closes that loop: leverage the fact that Expo can build to web, expose stable test IDs and helper APIs, and create a custom CLI that uses Chrome CDP so the agent can work with the web version of the app while it codes. The agent can inspect state, query the DOM, emulate mobile viewports, capture screenshots, check network logs, and run real product workflows without waiting for a human to describe the problem. Attendees will learn how to create app-specific debug CLIs that let agents verify frontend behavior, application state, backend state, and React performance reports, then use those checks to debug and optimize the app.

  2. Agent Conf 2026

Crowne Plaza Warsaw, The HUB · Warsaw, Poland

Agent Conf, formerly React Universe Conf, ran in Warsaw for the first time with a new focus on AI. Margaret talked agentic tooling with Chris Traganos on day one, then joined the closing panel on the future of software development.

  3. Chain React 2026

    Portland, Oregon

Had an amazing time catching up with some of the best React Native developers in the business.

  4. App.js Conf 2026

    Kraków, Poland

Three days of React Native talks and workshops, where Rafael spoke about building interfaces that respond to what an AI app is doing rather than sitting still in front of it.

Liquid User Interfaces for the Next Generation of AI Apps

AI apps ask an interface to do something it was never designed for: change shape while the user is looking at it. This talk works through what that means in practice for React Native, and how to build screens that reorganise around a model’s output without the seams showing.
